Using all the tools at our disposal the District of Carleton North seeks to realize business development for existing and/or new Tourism enterprises!

If you are “all-about” tourism and committed to developing a new experience, service or product that aligns with the below sub-sectors
within the District of Carleton North, this program is for you!
Themed/quality culinary experiences with emphasis on the French Fry.
Production and sale of craft brew and/or distillery products.
Themed Agricultural heritage products associated with Carleton North.
Themed Cultural and Heritage interpretation and/or touring experiences exemplifying Carleton North.
Themed Outdoor Adventure Experiences.
Sport Tourism Experiences.
Themed Artist and Artisan Retail Experiences
Themed Roofed Accommodations.
Other to be determined on a case-by-case basis.
The Class-of-One Process
STEP 1.
Apply and Qualify.
STEP 2.
Match to Your Mentor.
STEP 3.
Engage for Five One-Hour Virtual or In-Person Classes.
STEP 4.
Participate in a Formal Class-Of-One Evaluation.
Registration Fee
A registration fee of $500 is due with your application and is 100% refundable upon satisfactory completion of the program requirements and participation in a formulized, interview-based evaluation process.
Apply and Qualify
Space is limited and availability is offered a first-come, first-served basis. Once paired with a Mentor, ‘Class-of-One’ candidates have sixty (60) days to complete session obligations. Email your completed application (below) to tourism@florencevillebristol.ca with the title “Class-Of-One Application” followed by your name. Note – All applicants will receive confirmation of application receipt however, only those selected to participate in the program will be notified.
Match to Your Mentor
The ‘Class-of-One’ program offers a resource pool of proven experts in virtually every sub-sector of the tourism industry. All Mentors are successful entrepreneurs and have been approved by the Town’s ‘Class-of-One’ Management Team. The value of this service averages $2,500/Mentor.
Attend Five One-Hour Classes
Qualified ‘Class-of-One’ candidates must attend five one-hour mentoring sessions. Sessions will be completed either in person (when/if local), online or by phone or any combination of as determined appropriate by the ‘Class-of-One’ Management Team.
